Serik Baimaghanbetov

Serik Nurtajuly Baimaghanbetow ( Kazakh Серік Нұртайұлы Баймағанбетов , Russian Серик Нуртаевич Баймаганбетов / Serik Nurtajewitsch Bajmaganbetow * 8. September 1958 ) is a Kazakh politician and was from April 2009 to April 2011 Minister in the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Kazakhstan .

He graduated from Lomonosov University in Moscow and the Academy of the Interior Ministry of the USSR . Between 1980 and 1991 Serik Baimaghanbetow worked in the area of ​​law enforcement, before he worked for the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev from 1992 to 2001 when Kazakhstan became independent . From 2001 to 2007 Baimaghanbetow was, among other things, Deputy Interior Minister, Deputy Minister of Justice and Deputy Chairman of the Agency for the Fight against Economic and Financial Corruption. On August 27, 2007 he became a member of the Nur Otan Party in Maschilis. From April 2, 2009 to April 11, 2011, Serik Baimaghanbetov was Kazakhstan's Interior Minister.
