The Qalbagebirge ( Kazakh жотасы Қалба ; Russian Калбинский хребет ) is a mountain in Eastern Kazakhstan west of the Irtysch that the Altai is allocated.
The Qalbagebirge extends from the left bank of the Buchtarma reservoir over a length of 400 km in a west-northwest direction. The mountain on the southwest outskirts of the Altai range reaches heights of 1300- 1500 m . The maximum height is 1608 m . To the West, Mountain View is at a height of 450- 750 m gradually in the highlands of Kazakhstan threshold above. The mountain is composed of mica schist from the Paleozoic , sandstone and from intrusions of granite . There are deposits of gold and non-metallic ores. At altitudes between 800- 1200 m there steppe vegetation before. Above that there is a sparse vegetation of pines and birch - aspen forests. The subalpine vegetation level emerges in the summit locations.
