Qarabagh ( Persian ولسوالی قره‌باغ ، ولایت کابل) is a northeastern district (government district) of the province of Kabul in Afghanistan .

The district is 50 kilometers north of Kabul and 20 kilometers southeast of Bagram Air Base . it lies between the Kabul-Parwan route. in the north it borders on the districts of Guldara and Istalif (district) . in the southeast in the province of Parwan . and in the south by the districts of Deh Sabz and Kalakan . The main town of the same name is in the western part.

The entire district suffered severe damage during the wars. All infrastructure for agriculture, health and education were destroyed. Many people fled the district. This district produces 9% of the raisins produced in Afghanistan, and most of its residents own large vineyards.

The inhabitants are mainly Pashtuns , followed by Tajiks .
