The Kalakan ( Russian Калакан ) is a right tributary of the Witim in the Transbaikalia region in southeast Siberia .

The Kalakan rises in the Jankan Mountains . It flows in a predominantly westerly direction through the mountains. After 314 km he reaches the Witim. The Kalakan drains an area of ​​around 10,600 km². The mean discharge (MQ) 5 km above the mouth is 78 m³ / s. The river is ice-covered between mid-October and mid-May. The main tributary of the Kalakan is the Tundak (Тундак) from the left.
