Qianshan ( 潜山市 , Qianshan Shì ) is a county-level city of the prefecture-level city of Anqing in southwestern Chinese province of Anhui . It administers a territory of 1686 square kilometers in the southeast of the Dabie Mountains with a total population of 583,000 inhabitants. The 2000 population census for the then Qianshan County (Kreis 潜山) showed a total population of 515,261 people in 143,098 households, of which 260,308 were men and 254,953 women.
Administrative structure
Qianshan, which was reorganized from a county to an independent city in 2018 , is divided into eleven large parishes and five parishes at the community level . These are:
- Large communities Meicheng (梅 城镇), Yuantan (源 潭镇), Yujing (余 井镇), Wanghe (王 河镇), Huangpu (黄 铺镇), Chashui (槎 水镇), Shuihou (水 吼 镇), Guanzhuang (官 庄镇), Huangni (黄泥 镇), Huangbai (黄柏 镇), Tianzhushan (天柱山 镇)
- Communities Tafa (塔畈乡) Youba (油坝乡) Longtan (龙潭乡) Doumu (痘姆乡) Wumiao (五庙乡)
There are also two development zones for business and tourism. The aforementioned administrative units consist of 164 villages and 19 communities at village level .
Culture
The Neolithic site of Xuejiagang (薛家 岗 遗址, Xuējiāgǎng yízhǐ) and the stone carvings in the rock of the valley of the Tianzhushan (天柱山 山谷 流泉 摩崖 石刻, Tiānzhùshan shāngǔ liúquán móyá shíkè) are on the list of the Republic of China . Tianzhushan has had the status of a global geopark since 2011.
