Band history
Quarterback 40 was founded in 2013. The band is made up of Nikolai “Niko” Haug, better known in the hip-hop scene as the “problem child”, as well as Dominic “Dom” Sbarcea and Elias from the hip-hop band Der Plot , who met at the video battle tournament (VBT). Musically and in terms of image, they are based on American college punk rock, but use German-language texts. The band's name reflects on the quarterback in American football . The band first released individual videos and then a free download EP under the title Best of . The Ruhr Nachrichten put their music video Der gute WM Song to the vote for the hit of the 2014 World Cup . Her debut album Quarterback 40 was released on January 30, 2015 ! via the Sweeep Records label (distributed by Delta Music).
Music genre
Quarterback 40 adapts American pop punk , also known as college rock, with comparable texts that revolve around college life, American football and above all love. They use self-irony and flirt with the loser image from the American Pie film series .
