Queen Funmilayo Obisesan (born September 15, 1982 in Festac Town ) is a Nigerian hammer thrower .
Athletic career
Queen Obisesan gained her first international experience at the 2010 African Championships in Nairobi , where she finished eighth with a width of 54.03 m. The following year she reached sixth place at the Africa Games in Maputo with 57.02 m. In 2014 she took part in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow for the first time and was eliminated there with 57.16 m in qualification. Then she was fourth at the African Championships in Marrakech with a throw on 59.99 m. Four years later, she again took part in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast , where she finished fifth with 63.84 m. At the 2019 African Games in Rabat , she was also fifth with a width of 61.28 m.
In 2010 and 2011 as well as 2013 and 2014 and 2017 and 2019 Obisesan became the Nigerian hammer throw champion.
