Quentin Mosimann (born February 14, 1988 in Geneva ) is a Swiss musician .

After his parents divorced, Mosimann grew up in France . In his youth he was interested in jazz and electronic music. At 17 he went to the French Riviera and worked there as a DJ under the name John Louly . In 2007 he took part in the French talent show Star Academy and emerged as the winner.

In his debut album Duel , he juxtaposed pieces of music from his two favorite genres. In Belgium the album debuted at number 1 , in France it reached number 2 and was awarded gold .

The following year the second album Il ya je t'aime et je t'aime followed , the title song of which was particularly successful in France and reached number 2 in the single charts. In his home country in Switzerland his success was less, only a joint compilation album with the Swiss DJ Sir Colin reached the top 3 of the charts.

With the third album Gimme a Break he was able to continue his career successfully in 2010, it reached the top 10 in France and Belgium.
