Quinebaug Highlands

The Quinebaug Highlands are a region bordering Connecticut and Massachusetts , covering 172,000 acres (696 km²). The area extends over several mountain ranges and ridges around Ashford , Eastford , Union and Woodstock in northeast Connecticut and around Southbridge and Sturbridge in Massachusetts. The area includes more than 40,000 acres (160 km²) of protected areas and is now on the Quinebaug and Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor land use plan. The sources of several rivers, as well as those of the eponymous Quinebaug River, lie in the Highlands

The highest point is Burley Hill in Union with a height of 401  m (1315 ft).
