Quintus Tineius Sacerdos (Consul 158)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quintus Tineius Sacerdos (Clemens?) Was a Roman politician and senator of the 2nd century AD.

Sacerdos probably came from Volaterrae , a city in Etruria . However, Sarcerdos may also have settled in Side in Pamphylia , where he was honored as a patron . He was probably a son of Quintus Tineius Rufus , who had been consul in 127 . Sarcerdos' was married to Volussia La (o) dice. His sons were Quintus Tineius Rufus , consul 182, Quintus Tineius Clemens , consul 195, and Quintus Tineius Sacerdos , consul 192 and 219.

Through military diplomas , e.g. Some are dated on February 6th and 27th, 158, it is documented that Sacerdos was ordinary consul together with Sextus Sulpicius Tertullus in 158 . Sacerdos was also pontiff .
