Quittengo is a fraction of the Italian commune ( comune ) of Campiglia Cervo in the province of Biella , Piedmont region .
geography
The place is about 10 kilometers north of Biella at 800 m slm on the orographic left side of the valley of the Valle del Cervo in the Valais Alps, through which the Torrente Cervo flows .
history
Quittengo was an independent municipality until 2015 and merged with the neighboring municipalities of San Paolo Cervo and Campiglia Cervo on January 1st, 2016 to form a new municipality that continues the name Campiglia Cervo. The districts of Balma, Bogna, Orio Mosso, Rialmosso, Roreto, Sassaia and Tomati also belonged to the municipality of Quittengo.
