San Paolo Cervo ( Piedmontese San Pàul Sar or San Pàul Servi ) is a fraction of the Italian municipality ( comune ) Campiglia Cervo in the province of Biella , Piedmont region .

geography

The place is about 10 kilometers north of Biella at 795  m slm on the orographic right side of the valley of the Valle del Cervo in the Valais Alps, through which the Torrente Cervo flows .

history

San Paolo Cervo was an independent municipality until 2015 and merged with the neighboring municipalities of Campiglia Cervo and Quittengo on January 1, 2016 to form a new municipality that continues the name Campiglia Cervo. The districts of Riabella, Driagno, Magnani, Piana, Bariola, Oretto, Mortigliengo, Mazzucchetti and Bele also belonged to the municipality of San Paolo Cervo.
