The Qusar ( Azerbaijani Qusarçay ) is a river in Azerbaijan .
It rises south of the mountain Bazardüzü ( Greater Caucasus ) at an altitude of over 3000 m and flows into the Caspian Sea . It is named for the Qusar Rayon and the city of Qusar on its course .
In ancient times the name of the river was Casius or Kasios . According to Pliny , the river formed the northern border of Albania .
