Rémy Riou (born August 6, 1987 in Lyon ) is a French football player.

Career

society

He began his professional career in 2005 with the French first division club Olympique Lyon . For Lyon, he was only used in the reserve team and won the reserve team championship 2006 of the Championnat de France Amateur . The 2006/07 season he played on loan at first division rivals FC Lorient before moving to AJ Auxerre in 2007 , where he has been used regularly since then. In the summer of 2011 it was announced that he was moving to Toulouse FC within France . Without a commitment for the team, he joined FC Nantes a year later .

National team

Riou won the U-17 European Championship in 2004 with the French U-17 selection with a 2-1 win over Spain , but remained unused during the tournament as a substitute goalkeeper behind Benoît Costil . In the following years he was also appointed to France's U-19 and U-21 team.

In the summer of 2017 he was signed by the Turkish first division club Alanyaspor . After one season he moved to Belgium to join Sporting Charleroi .
