The Río Chilintomo is the approximately 60 km long right source river of the Río Jujan in the west of Ecuador in the provinces of Los Ríos and Guayas .

River course

The Río Chilintomo rises at the foot of the Cordillera Occidental at an altitude of about 150  m . It flows through the Ecuadorian coastal lowlands in a predominantly northwestern direction. The provincial border between Guayas and Los Ríos runs along the river. At river kilometer 35 the river passes the small town of Mata de Cacao on the east bank . The Río Chilintomo finally reaches the Río Los Amarillos northeast of Jujan, which runs further to the west and south , with which it unites to the Río Jujan.
