The Río Los Amarillos (in the upper reaches: Río Chague and Río Chague Grande ) is the approximately 93 km long left headwaters of the Río Jujan in the west of Ecuador in the provinces of Bolívar and Guayas .

River course

The Río Los Amarillos has its source in the Cordillera Occidental at an altitude of about 2500  m . It initially flows 10 km in a south-southwest direction. 2 km north of Cumandá , the Río Los Amarillos turns towards west-northwest and reaches the Ecuadorian coastal lowlands. On the lower 35 kilometers, the Río Los Amarillos flows in a north-northwest direction. At river kilometer 16 it flows through the small town Simón Bolívar . Finally, the Río Los Amarillos meets the Río Chilintomo in the north-east of the city of Jujan .
