Róbert Gavenda

Róbert Gavenda (born January 15, 1988 in Trenčín ) is a Slovak cyclocross and road cyclist.

Career

Róbert Gavenda became Slovak cyclocross champion in the junior class in 2005. At the European Championships in Pont-Châteu , he won the gold medal among the juniors. He also won races in Wetzikon and Hooglede . In 2006 he defended his national championship title and he won the junior cross in Liévin . At the cyclocross world championships in Zeddam , Belgium , Gavenda secured the silver medal. In 2007 Gavenda became national champion in the U23 class. Since June 2008 he has been riding for the Belgian Fidea Cycling Team .

On the road, Róbert Gavenda won a stage at the Course de la Paix in 2006 and he became Slovak champion in the junior class road race.
