Róbert Nagy (cyclist)

Róbert Nagy (born November 4, 1972 ) is a Slovak cyclist .

Athletic career

Róbert Nagy became Slovak road racing champion in 2000 and won the Lavanttaler Cycling Days. The next year he drove for the Czech team PSK Remerx . In 2002 Nagy won a stage at Paths of King Nikola and a section at the Grand Prix Cycliste de Gemenc , where he was also third overall. In the 2003 season he won the national time trial title . From 2007 Nagy drove for the Hungarian Continental Team P-Nívó Betonexpressz 2000 Kft.se , with which he won a stage in the Tour of Hungary .

In 1996 and 2000 , Nagy started road racing at the Olympic Games, but did not finish both times.

In 2005, Nagy was banned for doping for two years after testing positive for testosterone during the Tour of Austria . Afterwards he was active again as a cyclist and took top places several times in national time trial championships on the road.
