Juraj Sagan (born December 23, 1988 in Žilina ) is a Slovak cyclist .
Career
Juraj Sagan won a stage in the junior class in 2006 at the Cup of Grudziadz Town President and was national runner-up in road racing.
From 2007 he rode for the Slovak Continental Team Dukla Trenčín Merida and thus had his first contract with an international cycling team . In his first two years he won a part of the stage race Košice-Tatry-Košice. At the UCI Road World Championships in 2007 , he finished eleventh in the U23 road race. In the 2009 season he won the Boka Grand Prix and was fourth in road racing at the Slovak championship.
From July 2010 Juraj Sagan rode for the UCI ProTeam Liquigas-Doimo , where his younger brother Peter Sagan was also active as a cyclist and with whom he rode in the same teams in the following years.
In 2016, 2017 and 2019 Juraj Sagan became the Slovak road racing champion .
