Rödgen is a district of Bitterfeld-Wolfen in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district .

Rödgen is located between Zörbig in the west and Bitterfeld-Wolfen in the east, directly on the federal motorway 9 .
history
Rödgen was first mentioned in a document in 1209. Like its neighboring town of Zschepkau, the place belonged to the Electoral Saxon Office of Zörbig until 1815 . The decisions of the Congress of Vienna he came to Prussia and in 1816 the district Bitterfeld in the administrative district of Merseburg of the Province of Saxony assigned to which he belonged until 1944th
Zschepkau was incorporated into Rödgen on July 1, 1950. On March 15, 2004, Rödgen and Zschepkau were incorporated into the city of Wolfen . In the course of the district reform in 2007 and the associated formation of the city of Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Rödgen and Zschepkau became parts of this new city.
