The Postal Völlburg is an Outbound medieval hilltop castle on the 320  m above sea level. NHN high mountain "Völlburg" between Herbstadt and the district of Ottelmannshausen in the Rhön-Grabfeld district in Bavaria .

The conical mountain, which is surrounded by two small streams in the north and south, is artificially terraced and separated three times . The top terrace has a diameter of 35 by 40 meters and served as a residential plateau. The last remains of the castle complex were demolished in the 19th century.

The castle was built before 1100 by the Lords of Herbilstadt as a refuge .
