Rödigsdorf is a part of Oberroßla / Rödigsdorf , a district of the city of Apolda in the Weimarer Land district in Thuringia .

Rödigsdorf is located southwest of Apolda on the busy federal road 87 and southwest of Oberroßla . The district is located on the south-eastern edge of the Thuringian Basin on the best arable soils. It is 5.6 kilometers to the city center.

history

The first documentary mention of Rödigsdorf was documented in the period 822–842. The administration of the district is based on 1136.

On March 14, 1974 Rödigsdorf was incorporated into Oberroßla . Until 1990, the place was dominated by agriculture, after 1990 further businesses settled in a newly developed business park. On February 4, 1994, the partner districts were incorporated into Apolda.

In 2000 Rödigsdorf was included in the village renewal program, the infrastructure of the place and also the historic village church of Rödigsdorf were extensively renovated by 2004. In 2008, 990 inhabitants lived in the partner districts.

Attractions

The list of cultural monuments in Apolda includes three monuments in the local area of ​​Rödigsdorf: The church and two crossroads, of which the one in the south-east of the village probably no longer exists and may have been lost in the course of agricultural work.
