Lists on the subject

The Röhm RG 88 is a blank firing weapon . It is not a replica of an original model such as B. the Röhm RG 96 . The Röhm RG 88 was designed by Röhm GmbH , it is available in five different versions: Old nickel, burnished, nickel-plated, velor nickel and steel finish.

It is - like all signaling, irritant- and alarm guns with PTB - Approval - for persons over the age of 18 years available free. A small gun license is required to drive outside of your own property .

The Röhm RG 88 was manufactured from 1994 to April 2010 by the Röhm company in Sontheim, from April 2010 the Röhm company was taken over by the Umarex company, which continued to produce the Röhm RG88 and other models, but with new types of coating (steel finish, Gold Bicolor, Alu Chrome and Polish Chrome).

At the beginning of 1994 there was the Röhm RG 88 with an M10 thread, which was installed around 1998. The standard M8 thread came from 1999, as was already available on the RG 96 and Vektor CP1 models.

Since 2011 Umarex has launched a new coating process (Steel Finish) with various models on the market, including not only Röhm weapons such as the Vektor CP1 and RG 88, but also existing Umarex models such as the H&K P30 and Walther PP. From 2018 there was a bicolour gold version and from 2020 aluminum chrome and polish chrome versions.

The Röhm RG 88 does not have an original prototype, but is a specially designed weapon by the Röhm company, but similarities with the Röhm 735/725 are undisputed, so the RG 88 could also be called the little brother of the 735/725. The only innovation by Umarex was the labeling of the Röhm weapons. For example, the original Röhm clamping tool symbol was replaced by a conventional “Ö”, and the weapons were labeled using printed lettering instead of the original lettering embedded in the slide.

The weapon is secured by a firing pin safety. A rotating roller covers the firing pin. This prevents the rooster from being hit. The trigger can be pulled through in the secured state, the tap is not carried along. When loading through, the cock snaps back into its rest position and does not remain in the cocked position. This protects against unintentional firing.
