Lists on the subject |
The Röhm RG 96 is a blank firing weapon and a replica of the Heckler & Koch P8 (standard service pistol of the Bundeswehr). They are available in four different versions: burnished, nickel-plated, old nickel and military.
It is - like all signaling, irritant- and alarm guns with PTB - Approval - for persons over the age of 18 years available free. A small gun license is required to drive outside of your own property .
The newer versions (barrel thread M8) can be retrofitted to a Röhm RG 96 Match with an attachment with an integrated launching cup for firing signal ammunition . The older versions (barrel thread M10) require a conventional launch cup for this.
The pistol can be safely loaded and unlocked because the hammer, with the exception of the first version (KG) built in 1996, has a safety catch that keeps it away from the firing pin except when the shot is fired. The weapon has a cocked trigger , but can also be fired with the cock cocked ( single action / double action trigger ).
The pistol is made of die-cast zinc (slide and hammer), plastic (handle) and steel (magazine, trigger and trigger rod, as well as firing pin, buttstock and barrel).
Differences to the original
The Röhm RG 96 differs in the following points from its original, the Heckler & Koch P8:
- The grip and the magazine base are different.
- Disassembling works differently. The RG 96 has a separate lever for dismantling, while the slide of the P8 is pulled back a little and the slide catch lever is removed.
- The relaxation function is different. With the RG 96, the stopcock snaps into the safety detent when the safety lever is set to "S". On the P8, the lever is pushed down beyond the "S" position to relax and then slowly released. The tap is slowly relaxed.
- The magazine of the RG 96 is single-row for nine cartridges, while that of the P8 is double-row and can hold 15 cartridges. In addition, the magazine of the RG 96 is made of sheet steel, that of the P8 is made of plastic.
- The surfaces on the front and back of the handle are different from the P8.
