The Rücker AG , headquartered in Wiesbaden was a development service provider for the international automobile - and aviation industry . Virtual engineering services were provided in the areas of bodywork , interior fittings and electrics / electronics for the automotive industry. In addition, aircraft cabins were developed for the aviation sector, models and prototypes were created and the construction of fuselage and wing structures was calculated.

In 2012, the holding company Aton GmbH acquired control of the Rücker Group, and in 2013 they merged Rücker AG and in 2014 Rücker GmbH with the engineering services company Edag .

history

After training as a technical draftsman, Wolfgang Rücker studied construction technology, started his own business in Troisdorf in 1970 , founded Rücker GmbH in 1975 and branches at the respective locations of customers from the automotive industry.

With the execution of tests and simulations in the automotive sector, Rücker GmbH began to specialize in high-tech services in 1988 . In 1989 the company was expanded to include styling , aviation and environmental simulation . At the same time, subsidiaries were founded abroad. In 1990 Wiesbaden became the headquarters. With the establishment of the Rücker AG as a holding company in December 1998, all company companies were incorporated into the new AG.

In July 2012 the holding company Aton GmbH announced the takeover of 58.86% of the shares from company founder, CEO and previous majority shareholder Wolfgang Rücker and announced a voluntary public takeover offer for Rücker AG. Aton gained control of the Rücker Group through this purchase with effect from October 1, 2012.

In 2012, Rücker AG employed almost 2,600 people in 18 countries and generated sales of 189.4 million euros.

In May 2013, the holding company Aton already held more than 90 percent of the Rücker shares. By merger agreement dated June 28, 2013, the transfer of the assets of Rücker AG to Aton Engineering AG by means of a squeeze-out under merger law was agreed. After the transfer resolution and the merger became effective through entry in the commercial register on October 29, 2013, Rücker AG was deleted on October 31, 2013. The administration in Wiesbaden was previously transferred to Rücker GmbH . Rücker GmbH was merged with Edag Engineering AG, with Aton Engineering AG until December 2013 , with an entry in the commercial register from July 22, 2014 retrospectively to January 1, 2014 and finally deleted.

Edag Engineering AG appointed Wolfgang Rücker to the supervisory board. The former CFO of Rücker AG, Jürgen Vogt, also took over this position at Edag Engineering. Harald Poeschke, previously a member of the Rücker supervisory board, became COO of Edag Engineering.
