The Aton GmbH (proper spelling ATON GmbH) is a German holding company with headquarters in Munich . The founder is Lutz Helmig , the former main shareholder and founder of the Helios clinics .
background
In 2001 Helmig founded Aton in Fulda . With the name after the ancient Egyptian sun god Aton, Helmig linked to the name of the clinic group Helios, because Helios is the sun god of Greek mythology. The holding company manages the family assets. The shareholders of Aton GmbH are Lutz Helmig and his family as follows:
- 60% Lutz Helmig
- 10% Dagmar Helmig (wife of Lutz Helmig)
- 15% Alexandra Helmig (daughter of the Helmig couple)
- 15% Charlotte Helmig (daughter of the Helmig couple)
Spread across the individual companies within the Aton Group, more than 15,500 people were employed on December 31, 2017.
In 2007, the turnover of the majority shareholdings was around 1.6 billion euros; in 2011, the non-consolidated turnover was 2.3 billion euros; 2015 at 2.1 billion; 2017 at 2.15 billion
