from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wulf Rüdiger Lutz (* 1953 , † 17th September 2006 in Tübingen ) was a German architect , psychologist , writer , futurist and futurologist .

Life

He studied in Stuttgart , Dortmund , Berlin and Berkeley . From 1979 to 1981 he worked at the Institute for Future Research at the Technical University of Berlin , then head of the Communication Center for Future and Peace Research in Hanover. In the mid-1980s he was Professor of Design at the Berlin University of the Arts .

He belonged to Robert Jungk's circle and was one of the pioneers of the international spread of the future workshop method . He developed his own forms of work with the future workshop and was a member of the Friends of the International Library for Future Issues / Robert Jungk Foundation. He was the author and co-editor of many articles in specialist journals and books, especially in the English-speaking area. Instigator and companion of numerous socio-ecological projects and alternative technology groups.

Encounters with Lutz at larger events were not always easy for everyone and occasionally ended in an argument. He impressed with his future-oriented inspiration, but offended those who think differently by referring to his own experiences at many future workshop events and advocating the use of psychological and esoteric-psychedelic methods. He found his final resting place in the Tübingen mountain cemetery .
