Publishing program
The rüffer & rub non-fiction publisher publishes books from the fields of contemporary issues, art / culture, medicine / psychiatry and biography. According to the publisher's slogan - "Non-fiction books on questions that deserve answers" - the focus is on current topics.
rüffer und rub publishes six to eight books a year; since February 2009 exclusively non-fiction books. The biographies are now published by the partner publisher Römerhof Verlag . The uniform white cover design since 2005 is the recognition of the books.
The first book published by rüffer & rub was Swiss Paradise - An autobiographical report by Rolf Lyssy , the director of Die Schweizermacher . A highlight in the history of the publishing house was the presentation of the Right Livelihood Award (Alternative Nobel Prize) in October 2008 to Monika Hauser , whose biography was published by rüffer & rub in June 2008. In collaboration with the human rights department of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs , English-language books have been created: Peace Women and Human Security & Business as well as the series Swiss Human Rights Books ( Realizing Property Rights , Realizing the Rights of the Child and Realizing the Right to Health ) .
