Rüxleben is a noble family from Thuringia with the parent company of the same name Rüxleben near Kleinfurra in the former county of Hohenstein .

history

The place is first mentioned in 1143 as Rugersleyben . In the following century, Heinricus de Rockersleve, a representative of the noble family, became tangible for the first time in 1235 . Friedrich von Rüxleben was mayor of Nordhausen in 1396 ; his descendants lived near Weißensee near Erfurt.

The princes of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen confirmed Hans Otto von Rüxleben's elevation to the baron status on September 1, 1896 .

Possessions

In addition to Rüxleben, the family's possessions also included Bösenrode and Abgunst (Auleben) , as well as the rear Pomeranian Schwirsen .

Blazon : divided by silver and black, two split buffalo horns on the helmet, silver on top, black below. The helmet covers are black and silver. The coat of arms of the Hessian line has black and silver quartered on the helmet , each with four silver spikes with gold rods.
