R. Scott Reiss

Robert Scott Reiss (also Bob Reiss ; * 1951 in New York ) is an American journalist and writer .

Life

Reiss studied journalism at Northwestern University and graduated with a bachelor's degree . He then moved to the University of Oregon , where he earned the title MA. Reiss was able to publish his first articles as a freelancer while still a student. After successfully completing his studies, he began to write for various newspapers and magazines; u. a. for Chicago Tribune , WP Magazine Glamor , Rolling Stone , Gentlemen's Quarterly and Parade .

At the same time, in addition to his daily job, a literary oeuvre of detective novels was created over time . Reiss used different forms of his name. His cycle around the New York police officer "Conrad Voort" ( NYPD ) he published under the pseudonym Ethan Black ; in German they appeared under the name Scott Canterbury . Reiss made his literary debut in 1980 with his novel "Summer Fires".

He currently (2011) lives with the TV producer Wendy Roth in New York.
