The RSV Waltersdorf 09 ( Rotberger Sport-Verein Waltersdorf 09 eV ) is a German football club from the community of Schönefeld in Brandenburg near Berlin . It is based in the district of Waltersdorf and has its historical roots in the village of Rotberg, which was incorporated in 1998 .

history

From the foundation to 1990

October 1905 was founded in Rotzis, from 1937 renamed Rotberg, a cycling club "Frisch auf" zu Rotzis . In 1909 the club was reorganized as the Eiche Rotzis men's gymnastics club in 1909 , which from 1910 onwards also had a soccer team as a section. In later years the football department became independent as Eintracht Rotberg . After the end of the war in 1945, the association had to be dissolved due to the association ban imposed by the Soviet occupying forces. In its place, the Eintracht Diepensee sports community based in Rotberg was founded in 1946 , which had to be renamed BSG Traktor Nord Diepensee in 1949 , since at that time most of the independent sports communities were converted into company sports communities (BSG) under the sponsorship of local companies and institutions. The supporting company was the " Agricultural Production Cooperative (LPG) 'Prosperity' Rotberg". In 1952, in addition to the BSG Traktor Nord, another football club emerged from the local school in Rotberg with the SG Rotberg . However, this joined BSG Traktor Nord again in 1956. Sports at that time included handball, gymnastics, gymnastics and billiards in addition to football. In 1961 a new sports field was built in Rotberg. In 1970, through the merger of several regional sports clubs in Diepensee, Rotberg, Kiekebusch and Waltersdorf (DRKW), the BSG Traktor DRKW , based in Rotberg, was formed. A few months later, on June 20, 1970, the ASG Vorwärts Johannisthal was incorporated. As part of the merger, it was decided that training and meetings would take place in Waltersdorf, point games for the men in Rotberg and the youth in Waltersdorf. With the end of the GDR the renaming of the BSG Traktor DRKW in SV Rotberg 09 took place , whereby reference was made to the founding year of the MTV Eiche Rotzis.

Development from 1990

In 1992 SV Rotberg 09 had two teams with 43 members. The first team of footballers played in the 1st district class. Due to unclear ownership, the club had to give up its sports field in Rotberg and temporarily found accommodation on a not fully utilized facility in Schönefeld. The efforts of the club's top were aimed at finding a permanent new home ground. In 1994 the community of Waltersdorf decided to build a new sports facility on which SV Rotberg 09 should be located. When construction began in 1995, SV Rotberg 09 was renamed Rotberger SV Waltersdorf 09 . In 1996 the new sports facility with a club casino was opened. In 1997 the footballers of RSV Waltersdorf won the runner-up in the district league, followed by promotion to the regional class East in 1998. In 2006 the greatest success in the club's history was achieved with promotion to the regional league. The first season 2006/07 ended successfully with 5th place. A 4th and 3rd place followed. In 2011, the Waltersdorfer and coach Volker Löbenberg made it as the sovereign state league champion into the Association League , which has now been renamed the Brandenburg League , in which they could immediately celebrate the runner-up in 2012 and the associated promotion to the supraregional Oberliga Nordost . In 2014 you had to relegate to the Brandenburg League again. After three relatively successful seasons in the Brandenburg League, he was relegated to the state league in the 2017/18 season. With this relegation from the Brandenburg League, RSV Waltersdorf 09 withdrew its first team from the game. The club drew this consequence from the sporting downturn of the last five years. The first team's place was now taken over by the second team, which had made it to the district league in the 2017/18 season.
