The 2016/17 Brandenburg League was the 27th season and the ninth as the sixth highest division in men's football. It began on August 12, 2016 with the game FC Eisenhüttenstadt against Breesener SV Guben Nord and ended on June 17, 2017 with the 30th matchday.
The VfB 1921 Krieschow was this season for the first time national champion in Brandenburg, an increase in the Oberliga Northeast on. TuS 1896 Sachsenhausen won the runner-up, 4 points behind. During the winter break, VfB 1921 Krieschow led the table in the Brandenburg League after the first half of the season and thus won the unofficial title of autumn champion.
After the 30th matchday, SV Schwarz-Rot Neustadt (Dosse) was relegated and had to relegate to the state league.
