Raßreuth is a district of the market town of Hauzenberg and a district in the Lower Bavarian district of Passau .
geography
The village is about two kilometers northeast of Hauzenberg at the foot of the Staffelberg (793 m). In the area of the former municipality of Raßreuth lies the Freudensee with the Freudensee Castle .
history
Raßreuth belonged to the Hauzenberg office of the Oberhaus regional court in the Passau monastery . The place was secularized in 1803 with the largest part of the Hochstiftischen area in favor of Ferdinand of Tuscany . Since the peace treaties of Brno and Pressburg in 1805 , the place has belonged to Bavaria. The rural community of Raßreuth with the towns of Bachhäusl, Eckhof, Eckmühle, Freudensee, Gießübl, Grüblmühle, Kramersdorf, Lindbüchl, Neustift, Penzenstadl, Pufferholz and Steindobl was founded in 1818 by the Bavarian municipal edict . On January 1, 1972, the communities Germannsdorf , Jahrdorf , Raßreuth and Windpassing were incorporated into the Hauzenberg market.
