Raúl Bravo Sanfelix (born April 14, 1981 in Gandía , Valencia Province ) is a Spanish football player .
Career
His first club was UD Almoines. He then came to Real Madrid via CF Gandía , where he played in the first team from 2000. The left-back was considered a great talent, but had overwhelming competition in his position at Real Madrid with Roberto Carlos and therefore moved to England on loan to Leeds United in January 2003 .
At the beginning of the 2003/04 season he returned to Real Madrid and was mainly used as a central defender over the next few years . For the 2007/08 season, Raul Bravo moved to the Greek first division club Olympiacos Piraeus for 1.5 million euros . There he was initially unable to prevail and was loaned to CD Numancia in the second half of the 2008/09 season. On his return he became a regular in Piraeus.
In the summer of 2011 he decided to return to Spain and signed a contract with Rayo Vallecano , where he could not prevail.
At the end of August 2012, he signed a one-year contract with the Belgian first division club Beerschot AC until the end of June 2013.
On May 29, 2019, he was arrested on suspicion of manipulating Spanish professional football matches. Bravo is the head of the arrested group.
Raúl Bravo played fourteen times for the Spanish national team between 2002 and 2004 .
