Raúl Leguizamón
Raúl Osvaldo Leguizamón († July 1, 1990 ), also known by the nickname Tango , was an Argentine football player on the position of defender who worked as a football coach after his active career .
career
From 1938 to 1948 Leguizamón was under contract with CA Independiente , with whom he won the Argentine football championship three times (1938, 1939 and 1948) . He then moved to Club Atlético Atlanta , where he was under contract until at least 1950. For the next few years there are no reliable findings about his club membership, but no later than the mid-1950s Leguizamón moved to Mexico , where he played in the 1954/55 season for the traditional club Atlas Guadalajara , which had recently been relegated to the second division . With the Zorros he immediately succeeded in winning the second division championship and the associated immediate promotion to the top Mexican division . In the following first division season 1955/56 he was responsible for Atlas for the first time as a coach (player-coach?) And moved to the 1956/57 season as a player at Club America . In its ranks, he soon ended his active career and took over the post of head coach at Club Deportivo Zamora , which was relegated to the second division , with whom he succeeded in immediate promotion.
Between 1940 and 1943 Leguizamón was used three times for the Argentine national football team.
