The Rabbit River ( English for " Rabbit -flow") is a right tributary of the Liard River in the far north of the Canadian province of British Columbia .

The Rabbit River rises 25 km southwest of Muncho Lake in the Muskwa Ranges , a mountain range in the far north of the Rocky Mountains . The river runs in a predominantly northerly direction through the northwest part of the Muskwa Ranges. He takes the Netson Creek from the left and the Gundahoo River from the right. The Rabbit River empties 5 km east of the mouth of the Kechika River and 8 km west of the mouth of the Coal River in the Liard River. The Rabbit River has a length of about 150 km. Its catchment area covers 3780 km². The mean discharge is 40 m³ / s.

From Netson Lake over the Netson Creek and Rabbit River downstream to Liard River are canoe tours offered. The level of difficulty is III, the duration is 8-10 days.
