Radia Perlman
Radia Perlman (* 1951 in Portsmouth ) is an American software developer and network technician .
Live and act
Radia Perlman is sometimes referred to as the "mother of the Internet". She is famous for her invention of the Spanning Tree Protocol , which is essential for the process of network bridges . She has also made significant contributions in many other areas of network design and standardization, such as: B. the link-state protocols . She received a bachelor's and master's degree in mathematics, a Ph.D. in Computer Science from MIT . Your doctoral thesis at MIT deals with the topic of routing in the event of serious network errors and forms the basis for most of the work in this area.
