Radio Inside is a private radio station in Switzerland that is wholly owned by ZT Medien (media group of the Zofinger Tagblatt ). The station's target audience consists of the 20 to 60-year-old population of the Swiss cantons of Solothurn and Aargau as well as the north-western part of the canton of Lucerne . Founder is David Kaufmann. The management also includes managing directors Roland Oetterli and Markus Müller.
history
Radio Inside went on air for the first time on May 4, 2008 as an Internet radio station. The station emerged from a spin-off of the former web radio Radio COOL.
Broadcasting via DAB +
On March 29, 2010, Radio Inside went on broadcast terrestrially using the new DAB + transmission standard . The broadcast studio was in Zofingen . David Kaufmann was the founder and owner. In addition to Kaufmann, there was also TV presenter Sara Bachmann on the management team , who also presented a program called Sara's Welt . Another successful show was the comedy show Grütter & Peppo, which mainly consisted of phone jokes. JP Love also presented the erotic program Love Is In The Air. The music program on Radio Inside consisted of 75 percent Swiss music.
Takeover by the Zofinger Tagblatt
At the end of November 2011 it was announced that the Zofinger Tagblatt will take over Radio Inside with retroactive effect from October 1, 2011. The parties have agreed not to disclose the sales price. All employees were taken over. David Kaufmann remained managing director and program manager. From then on, Radio Inside broadcast from a new studio in the Zofinger Tagblatt building. The reporting focused on the Zofingen region . Radio Inside and the Zofinger Tagblatt work together on a cross-media basis and use common synergy effects. The broadcaster has been able to use the shared news desk since February 2014 .

A 24-hour program with information, music and entertainment is broadcast. On weekdays there are hourly news blocks with the top news during the daytime during prime time. They are supplemented twice a day as part of the lunch or evening information on news from the region, Switzerland and abroad. The Radio Inside program starts on weekdays at 6 a.m. with the Radio Inside morning show. On Saturdays and Sundays, Radio Inside broadcasts a non-stop music program, which is occasionally interrupted with highlights from the past week and other categories. In addition, Radio Inside regularly reports on elections and referendums on Sundays . There are also live broadcasts of away games of the EHC Olten as part of the playoff or power play radio and special broadcasts as part of regional events.
Playoff radio
At the beginning of 2013, Radio Inside entered into a partnership with the ice hockey club EHC Olten . The broadcaster broadcast all of its away games in the National League B playoffs . The first game was broadcast live on February 17, 2013. EHC Olten lost their first game in the quarter-finals of the 2012/2013 season away against HC La Chaux-de-Fonds 2: 4. The collaboration was extended to the current 2013/2014 season . From now on, Radio Inside will also take part in fan campaigns. Since the 2013/2014 season, the station has also broadcast several preliminary round away games live on Powerplay radio .
Employee
In September 2018, Radio Inside had nine permanent employees (full-time equivalents), two of whom work in advertising. Several interns also learn the radio trade at the same time as part of the Radio Inside Academy . There are also some freelancers who mainly work as commentators on the EHC Olten ice hockey away games. The team is supplemented by correspondents in Switzerland and abroad.
reception
The program is broadcast on channel 7D in German-speaking Switzerland and parts of Rhaeto-Romanic Switzerland in the second multiplex of SwissMediaCast in the DAB + standard with 64 kbit / s , as well as in the cable network of Swisscom TV. On the website of the radio station, the program is a live stream available, as well as parts of them as a call offer . Apps are also offered for mobile devices , with which voice messages or self-created videos can be reported back to the transmitter.
