Rafał Grzelak (born June 24, 1982 in Łódź , Poland ) is a Polish football player .
society
Grzelak comes from the youth of Widzew Łódź and moved to Orzeł Łódź in 1997 , from where he began his career. After two seasons there, he moved to LKS Lodz , where he had his first appearances in the Ekstraklasa . During the winter break of the 2000/2001 season, the left midfielder moved from Lodz to Ruch Chorzów , where he was able to score 3 goals in a total of 24 games. After strong performances there, MSV Duisburg became aware of Grzelak and loaned him out for half a year. After the loan, he moved back to Poland, where, after positions such as Widzew Łódź and Piotrcovia Piotrków Trybunalski , he was only able to gain a foothold again at Lech Poznań and win the Polish Football Cup there.
For the 2004/2005 season, Grzelak moved to Pogoń Szczecin for two years , where he scored 4 goals in 45 games for the club. After his station in Germany, he tried it abroad for the first time in 2006. His new employer was the five-time Portuguese cup winner Boavista Porto . After misunderstandings with the coach, he went to AO Xanthi in Greece in the winter of 2007 , where he has a contract until June 30, 2012. For the 2009/2010 season, Rafał Grzelak moves to Romania to Steaua Bucharest . Here, however, he was only a substitute and could not achieve a goal in only six league games. He also appeared six times in the UEFA Europa League and scored one goal in a 2-1 win over Újpest Budapest . From the 2010/2011 season he played again for Widzew Łódź in the Polish Ekstraklasa . After a year he moved to the league competitor and his former club Ruch Chorzów . There he was sorted out after six months and relegated to the squad of the team in the Młoda Ekstraklasa , the separate Polish youth football league. On February 7, 2013 he signed a six-month contract with the Polish second division club Arka Gdynia . After the end of the season he was drawn to league rival Flota Świnoujście . At Flota he became a regular and finished the 2013/14 season in the lower midfield. In the winter break of 2014/15, Chojniczanka Chojnice signed him . Since 2018 he has been playing for fourth division club KP Starogard Gdański .
National team
Between October 2006 and February 2007 he was used twice for Poland's senior team.
