Rafael Bellido Caro (born March 10, 1924 in Arcos de la Frontera , † March 16, 2004 in Seville ) was Bishop of Jerez de la Frontera .

Life

Rafael Bellido Caro was ordained a priest on November 7, 1948 . Paul VI appointed him on November 29, 1973 auxiliary bishop in Seville and titular bishop of Mutia .

The Archbishop of Seville , Cardinal José María Bueno y Monreal , ordained him episcopal on December 30th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were José María Cirarda Lachiondo , Bishop of Cordoba , and Antonio Montero Moreno , Auxiliary Bishop in Seville .

As a motto he chose Servir al Señor con Alegría . The Pope appointed him Bishop of Jerez de la Frontera on March 3, 1980 . On June 29, 2000, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
