Juan del Río Martín (born October 14, 1947 in Ayamonte ) is a Spanish priest and military archbishop of Spain .
Life
Juan del Río Martín was ordained a priest on February 2, 1974 .
John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Jerez de la Frontera on June 29, 2000 . He was ordained bishop by the Apostolic Nuncio in Spain and Andorra , Manuel Monteiro de Castro , on September 23 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Cardinal Carlos Amigo Vallejo OFM , Archbishop of Seville , and Rafael Bellido Caro , Former Bishop of Jerez de la Frontera.
As a motto he chose Opus Iustitiae Pax . Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on June 30, 2008 military archbishop of Spain .
