Rafael Lascalea

Rafael Lascalea (born September 2, 1891 ) was an Argentine diplomat and politician .

Life

Rafael Lascalea was a cadet at the Escuela de suboficiales "Sargento Cabral" on the Campo de Mayo military base . In early May 1938 he was given command of the 2 ° regimiento de infantería in Buenos Aires. On October 21, 1943, Pedro Pablo Ramírez founded an office for propaganda and press, which he placed under the Ministry of the Interior. From July 1944, the first director was Oscar Lomuto.

From 1945 to June 1946 Colonel Rafael Lascalea was Subsecretario de informaciónes y Prensa (Head of the Propaganda Office) in the first government cabinet of Juan Perón . In 1946, Perón appointed Lascalea governor of Santa Cruz . As such, Lascalea decreed the founding of the Comisión de Fomento de Lago Argentino on December 22, 1946.

Juan Perón sent him in 1951 as ambassador to Jawaharlal Nehru , where he was in office until Perón resigned in 1955.
