Rafic Warcha

Youhanna Rafic Warcha (born November 1, 1971 in Okaibé , Mount Lebanon Governorate , Lebanon ) is a Lebanese clergyman and emeritus Curia Bishop in the Maronite Patriarchate of Antioch .

Life

Rafic Warcha received On 17 August 1996 by the Bishop of Jounieh , Chucrallah Harb , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

The Synod of the Syrian-Maronite Church of Antioch elected him curia bishop at the Patriarchate in Beirut. Pope Francis confirmed the election on February 14, 2018 and appointed him titular bishop of Apamea in Syria dei Maroniti . The Maronite Patriarch of Antioch and the whole of the Orient , Béchara Pierre Cardinal Raï OMM , ordained him episcopal on April 7th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the auxiliary bishop in Joubbé, Sarba and Jounieh, Antoine Nabil Andari , and the curial bishop in the Maronite Patriarchate of Antioch, Hanna G. Alwan CML .

Rafic Warcha resigned as Curia Bishop in the Maronite Patriarchate of Antioch on June 15, 2019.
