Rageth Clavadetscher

Rageth Clavadetscher (born September 13, 1971 in Haiti ) is a Swiss businessman and has been managing director of the Glatt Center in Switzerland since 2016 .

Career

Clavadetscher first grew up in Haiti, where his parents were stationed as development workers, and later in Kreuzlingen in Thurgau . Here he completed an apprenticeship at Kleid Frey AG in Kreuzlingen. He then took the oath. Graduate in retail trade and obtained the HSG KMU diploma from the University of St. Gallen .

From 1997 to 2005 Clavadetscher was CEO and member of the board of directors of Bollag-Guggenheim Retail AG and member of the management of the Bollag-Guggenheim Fashion Group. He had overall responsibility for rebuilding the brands Marc O'Polo, GUESS , French Connection UK, ALDO Canada, Castro Israel and Calvin Klein . From 2005 to 2009 he was Country Manager of s.Oliver Vertriebs AG and managed the companies of s.Oliver Switzerland. From 2010 to 2015 he was Head of Sales, Deputy CEO and member of the management of the Schild Group when it was taken over by Globus.

Clavadetscher lives with his wife and two children (* 2005 and * 2009) in Zurich .

Under Clavadetscher's management, the Glatt shopping center has developed into a marketplace in the greater Zurich area with over 100 retail and catering concepts, a medical specialist center and lifestyle offers. Despite increasing online competition, the Glatt was able to maintain annual sales of around CHF 600 million (no exact figures available), as well as the visitor frequency of 9 million visitors per year. Clavadetscher managed to bring international brands to Switzerland. In 2019, MUJI ( Japan ) and Xiaomi ( China ) opened their first locations in Glatt.

Clavadetscher is an advocate of stationary retail and regularly speaks out as an expert on issues relating to retail , SRF (Club) or ECO and as a speaker at specialist conferences.
