history

On January 21, 1909, the "Loan Association" was founded in Winkelhaid. A legal cooperative was later created through a merger with entry in the cooperative register. Other origins of today's Raiffeisenbank were in Rasch (1897), Leinburg (1900), Altdorf (1904), Weißenbrunn (1912), Gerßdorf-Oberhaidelbach (1913) and Altenthann (1919).

In the beginning the number of members, which consisted mainly of farmers, was manageable. In the period after the First World War , the loan association fell into a crisis due to inflation. The consequences of the Second World War led to an economic standstill. With the introduction of the Deutsche Mark in June 1948, the rebuilding began, owed by the devaluation of liabilities and receivables.

In 1952 the loan office was renamed Raiffeisenkasse Winkelhaid and became a cooperative with unlimited liability. In 1957 a new warehouse was built. In the 1960s, the new branches in Feucht (1965) and Altenfurt (1967) were created through expansion. The consequence of this expansion was the renewed name change to Raiffeisenkasse Feucht-Winkelhaid eGmbH in 1965 . In 1968 the cash register moved to the new premises in Winkelhaid. Raiffeisenbank Altdorf was founded in Altdorf in the same year . This emerged from the original Altdorf agricultural cooperative .

In 1970 the Raiffeisenkasse Feucht-Winkelhaid merged with the Raiffeisenbank Altdorf to form the Raiffeisenbank Altdorf-Feucht-Winkelhaid eGmbH , based in Altdorf. Due to the branchization, two new branches were opened in Schwarzenbruck and Fischbach. In 1973 the bank merged with Raiffeisenkasse Altenthann and a further branch was established in Altdorf. In 1974 the head office was relocated to Winkelhaid and the bank was renamed Raiffeisenbank Altdorf-Feucht eG . An eighth branch was opened in 1978 in Weißenbrunn. In 1979 the Raiffeisenkassen Leinburg and Rasch joined the bank. In 1982, as part of a further merger, the Raiffeisenkasse Gersdorf-Oberhaidelbach joined the bank and the main office was relocated from Winkelhaid to Feucht in 1983. In addition, the Rasch, Altenfurt, Weißenbrunn and Altenthann branches were merged with larger branches.

In 2013 the converted office opened in Altdorf. Since 2015, the bank has again had a location in Nuremberg-Altenfurt.
