The Raiffeisenbank Haag-Gars-Maitenbeth eG in its current form was created in 1997 through the merger of Raiffeisenbank Haag-Maitenbeth eG with Raiffeisenbank Gars am Inn eG.

Raiffeisenbank Haag

On February 26, 1899, the Dahrlehenskassenverein Ramsau was founded on the initiative of the HH Expositus Max Fischer. In 1965, the Raiffeisen banks Ramsau, Berg-Winden and Kirchdorf merged to form Raiffeisenbank Haag eGmbH. In addition, it was decided to build a business building and relocate the headquarters to Haag. In 1968 the general assembly of Raiffeisenkasse Oberornau decided to merge with Raiffeisenbank Haag. Raiffeisenbank Reichertsheim followed suit in 1971. In 1973 the property in Haag was bought for the later construction of a new bank building, which was occupied in 1981. In 1988 Raiffeisenbank Haag eG merged with Raiffeisenbank Maitenbeth eG to form Raiffeisenbank Haag-Maitenbeth eG. In 1996, the Extraordinary General Assembly decided with the required majority to merge with Raiffeisenbank Gars am Inn eG. This merger was registered at the registry court in Traunstein in 1997. The new company name was Raiffeisenbank Haag-Gars-Maitenbeth eG.

Also in 1899, on the initiative of Pastor August Nischwitz, the Gars Loan Fund Association was founded, which made a profit of 318.46 marks in its first business year. The general assembly of Raiffeisenkasse Mittergars decided in 1953 to join the Gars Loan Association. In 1964, the Raiffeisenkasse Au took the same step. The general assembly of April 7, 1967 decided to rent and convert suitable rooms on the market square in Gars am Inn and to operate as Raiffeisenbank. Raiffeisenkasse Wang joined as a further financial institution in 1969. In 1977 the company finally moved into the new business premises in Gars am Inn. On November 21, 1996, the extraordinary general assembly decided to merge it with Raiffeisenbank Haag-Maitenbeth eG.
