Rain Phoenix

Rain Joan of Arc Phoenix (also Rainbow Phoenix ) (born November 21, 1972 in Crockett , Texas ) is an American actress , musician and singer .

Rain Phoenix was born the second of five children. She is the sister of actors Summer , Joaquin and River Phoenix . She spent part of her childhood in South America , where her parents were missionaries on behalf of the children of God . In 1978 the family returned to the United States and changed the surname from Bottom to Phoenix.

In her youth she had several television appearances, for example in the series Family Ties . From 1988 to 1993 she sang together with her brother River Phoenix in the band Aleka's Attic , which however did not release an album. In 1993 she played the role of Bonanza Jellybean in Even Cowgirls Get the Blues . She was the backing vocalist for REM and the Red Hot Chili Peppers in the mid-1990s . Between 1997 and 2001 she was a member of The Causey Way, which also included her sister Summer. In 2003, Phoenix founded the band Papercranes.
