Rainer Bange

Rainer Bange (born November 18, 1928 in Hanau ; † February 10, 2019 there ) was a German cabaret artist .

Life

After finishing his architecture studies in 1967, Rainer Bange worked as an architect . He gave up this profession in the 1980s in favor of a second career as a cabaret artist. Through his radio appearances, especially on Hessischer Rundfunk , he gained notoriety through radio broadcasts such as “Nur kein Bange” and “Make Bange Don't Apply”.

He became known to a wider audience through the "Kleinschmidt family", a typical Hessian family, where Rainer Bange himself spoke all the characters with different voices. The “Kleinschmidts” were initially produced for the radio programs hr1 and hr4 , later there were also contributions on television , which made Rainer Bange known beyond the limits of the broadcasting area of ​​the hr.

Bange has made guest appearances in the Lower House of Mainz , in the New Theater Frankfurt-Höchst and in the Alte Oper Frankfurt .

In 1998, Bange won the city of Hanau's cultural plaque. He died in February 2019 at the age of 90.
