Rainer Castor
Rainer Castor (born June 4, 1961 in Andernach ; † September 22, 2015 ibid) was a German science fiction writer for the Perry Rhodan series. But he also attracted positive attention with his novel Der Blutvogt . The detailed technical explanations in his novels are particularly worth mentioning.
biography
Rainer Castor was a trained building materials inspector , but he broke off his civil engineering studies after a few semesters. For some time he was a soldier and worked as a delivery driver, later he worked for a city council group and a member of the state parliament. In the 1980s, in addition to a day job as an administrative clerk at an educational institution, he devoted himself to his passion, writing.
In the early 1980s he met Hanns Kneifel , who recognized Castor's talent and made him his colleague. Shortly afterwards he published his first paperback. The first novels followed only a short time later.
From June 1997 he was exclusively a freelance writer. Rainer Castor died of a heart attack in 2015.
