Rainer Hackstock (born March 12, 1965 in Vienna ) is an Austrian TV director and screenwriter .

Life

Rainer Hackstock graduated from the Vienna Film Academy in 1990 with distinction (specializing in production and camera). In 1992 he completed his Master of Arts (TV and film) at Regent University in Virginia Beach, USA, where his focus shifted to directing and screenwriting. After numerous TV scripts (e.g. Kommissar, Rex, Schnell Determined, Rosenheim-Cops, Die Lottosieger), the focus of his work has shifted more to directing. In addition to image and advertising films, Rainer Hackstock is one of the regular directors at SOKO Kitzbühel.

Rainer Hackstock is married and has two sons.

Award

In addition to numerous prizes for image films, he won the “David” film prize in December 2011 for the fourth episode of Der Schlunz - The Series , which is based on the children's book series by the author Harry Voss . The episode Lukas haut ab received this award in the category “Children's and Youth Films”. The jury, made up of experts from public and private television stations, justified this with the “excellent directorial work”.
